How to Repack Your Kit

How to Repack Your Kit

Our general guidelines for re-packing kits are as follows (and realize that not all guidelines may apply to this kit):
  • caps on the bottles of liquids are securely tightened
  • bottles are placed back into the plastic bags in which they were shipped
  • light bulbs are removed from holders (except the Electrical Circuits unit) and
  • glass and other fragile items are wrapped in the bubble wrap or in the foam-lined boxes in which they were originally shipped

We do not expect you to re-pack the kit as neatly as it was originally sent.

Note: You do not need to return live materials, used batteries, modeling clay, seeds (except unopened, pre-packaged seeds), sunflower hearts, bran, open bags of potting soil, wet sand or gravel. There are other items specific to individual kits that also do not need to be returned. These items should be clearly marked in the kit.  Should you end up with an empty yellow box, please send the box back to BOCES 4 Science

If your kit was sent to you by UPS, please save the brown shipping boxes in which the kits were originally sent to your school. The contact person in your school/district has been sent the return shipping labels.
